About Happycall

Since 1999

Happycall started in Korea in 1999 with one idea: a frying pan that closes. The Double Pan — two pans hinged together and sealed with a silicone gasket — let home cooks fry fish, flip omelettes and roast vegetables without smoke, spatter or turning anything with a spatula. It was the world's first double-sided frying pan, and it is still the product the brand is known for.

What Happycall makes

Twenty-five years on, the range covers most of a kitchen: frypans and woks in ceramic, titanium and graphene nonstick; pots and stockpots; stainless steel; silicone utensils; knives. Everything is designed around the same question the Double Pan answered — what would make this easier to cook with every day?

Happycall holds around 300 registered patents, utility models, designs and trademarks, and runs its own research and development centre alongside its factory.

Where it is made

Happycall's nonstick cookware — Royal, Crocodile, Titanium Plasma, Zium, Onde, Blitz, Flex and the Double Pan — is made in Happycall's own factory in South Korea. The stainless steel Stay range is made to Happycall's design in China, and the Hybrid range in Vietnam; both are stated on the product page.

Happycall is now HC

In 2024 the company updated its identity to HC. The logo and packaging have changed; the factory, the coatings and the people making the pans have not. You will see both marks on products and boxes for a while.

happycall.com.au is the official Australian store. Orders are packed and dispatched from Chatswood, Sydney, by My Cookware Australia, our authorised retail partner, whose Chatswood shop has the full range on display if you would like to handle a pan before buying.

Every product sold here carries a 12-month Australian warranty, ships free on orders over $99, and is the same specification sold in Korea.
